The WWE Raw Wrap Hour 1 for 11/23/09

Welcome to the start of the three-hour Monday night Raw with Jesse Ventura!

Randy Orton comes out and he wants a title shot.

The crowd is not happy about another round of Randy Orton vs. John Cena.

Jesse Ventura is out and he promises a new challenger for the WWE or World Title tonight.  There will be qualifying matches of only guys who’ve never had a title shot tonight, the winners go into a Battle Royal and the final winner gets a title shot.  Also, tonight is Hart Dynasty vs. D-X and John Cena vs. CM Punk.

Wow! they’re loading up this Raw!  My pick for the winner? Ted Dibiase.  I really hope it isn’t Sheamus.  Looks like we get a load of first-time matches, as the WWE snubs its nose at the internet for complaining about that.

Kofi Kingston defeats Dolph Ziggler.

A decent, if short match, Ziggler’s de-push remains mystifying.  Kofi has a decent shot at a push to the moon and a Cena match, much like Bobby Lashley once got a one on one shot with Cena even with both as faces, though he’s probably better off beating Randy Orton in singles.

Sheamus defeats Finlay with a Razor’s Edge.  Sheamus beats on Finlay a bit after their three minute match.

Christ, does he really need to dominate Finlay?  He could learn a lot by real matches with one of the WWE’s smartest and most experienced hands.

Vickie Guerrero and Eric Escobar annoy Teddy Long over Thanksgiving dinner.

Good to see Escobar back on television- I had thought they gave up on him.

Ventura and Randy Orton argue backstage.

I really hope this isn’t a swerve into more Orton-Cena.

John Cena defeats CM Punk with a second rope Attitude Adjuster (***).

A quite good match.  Let’s see how Raw continues in hour two…
