Welcome to live WWE Survivor Series 2009 coverage here on Examiner.com. Come back throughout the night for updates on the night’s events. Tonight is the 23rd annual edition of the Survivor Series and is coming from MCI Center in Washington, DC.
Let’s get right to the action…
John Morrison (captain), Shelton Benjamin, Finlay, Matt Hardy & Evan Bourne v. The Miz (captain), Sheamus, Drew McEntyre, Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger
The match starts with Team Miz working over Evan Bourne. After a few minutes Bourne fights back and gets on the offense against Ziggler. Quickly he was able to hit Ziggler with a Shooting Star Press to get the first elimination of the evening. Moments later McEntyre hits the ring and drops Bourne with a butterfly DDT to eliminate him. Finlay and Sheamus, the two Irishmen square off, with Sheamus getting the better of Finlay and pinning him with a running bicycle kick.
The match then slows down into a three-on-four match with no eliminations for minutes. A miscommunication causes the in-ring ref to be taken out, which caused the referee who was outside the ring to take over officiating duties. In the confusion Morrison pins Swagger after Starship Pain. The team captains Miz and Morrison then go at it as it settles into three-on-three.
Miz then takes out Benjamin with the Skull Crushing Finale, leaving Hardy and Morrison all alone against three opponents. McEntyre takes over on Hardy and eliminates him with his butterfly DDT, leaving Morrison all alone against Miz, McEntyre and Sheamus. Morrison and Mia go toe-to-toe for awhile. After a collision between the two men, Mia was able to tag out to Sheamus. Morrison then goes for the Flying Chuck on Sheamus only for the big Irishman to hit Morrison with a kick in the knee. With Morrison down Sheamus drops him with an old-school Razor’s Edge to get the pinfall.
Winners (and survivors) – Sheamus, Drew McEntyre, The Miz
Morrison looked great even in the loss while both Sheamus and McEntyre looked like stars and world beaters thanks to their eliminations.
Backstage, Team Kofi Kingston talks over things as Christian brings up the proverbial elephant in the room and jokes that he’s the only member of his team that isn’t black by mentioning he’s the only member of the team from ECW and the only Canadian. Christian then does his best white boy rap to try and fit in.

what i would like to say is that The Miz is really kool. but with shaw direct i missed his match because it said something about updating ur program. i hope u did good with ur match.
