The early word is that the film is a sci-fi, comedy kung-fu movie. Pacquiao plays the main character who develops super powers to fight his arch nemesis played by Batista.

- The Metro Manila FIlm Festival (MMFF) will be showing this film along with other Filipino films. They expect a huge turnout this December due to the star power of the selected films being showed.
- Shooting will begin sometime in July
- There might be some with the shooting due to Batista's recovery from biceps tendon surgery

the movie wapakman will be a knockout by dec 2009 during the metro manila film festival. its a casting coup having pacman, nicole and batista in one movie. the director topel lee is a respected one and will not make this a cheap and slapstick movie. comedy and action film is a hit if properly made. hope its a blockbuster in dec as it will compete with 5 other movies for 2 weeks w/ no english movie competition and the prime xmas and new year season. pls. pacman still fight for 4 more years. 8 more fights or 2 in a year will give us something to look forward to every year. u brought so much hope and inspiration for the whole filipino nation.
