Brock Lesnar to headline UFC 106 against Shane Carwin

Multiple internet sources are reporting that Brock Lesnar will fight Shane Carwin at UFC 106. The event will be live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on November 21.

Lesnar, coming off a minor surgery after his fight with Frank Mir, will put his Unified Heavyweight title on the line. This will also be his 2nd official title offense.

Neither fighter have made any official statements but Carwin posted the following comments on his web site:

“I can't confirm or deny anything. I can just tell you guys that I am training harder then ever and your support and loyalty will carry me through any fight they send my way."

Why does everybody dislike him so much? Dana White is the one who books the fights...all Brock can do is fight who is put in front of him.

You say he cant really fight..he is just so big and strong? Well...tell these guys to start working out! Is he supposed to play down to their size?

So Randy Couture & Frank Mir are jokes then as well I guess. For being a joke that can;t fight, it was amazing that blood shot from Mir's face every time Brock hit him. Brock is a world class wrestler.

It's all you MMA fans that think everyone needs to love & respect each other that's a joke & quit thinking Dana White isn't telling Brock to say the stuff he does after fights. It gets people talking & the more people talk about UFC, the better.

You M.M.A. fans are just jealous that Brock Lesnar is THE MAN,and nobody can beat him. I am a wrestling fan,and also a M.M.A. fan. I have been watching him on t.v.,since 2002,in the W.W.E.. I knew he was a bad a-- in real life,so deal with it. Brock Lesnar is U.F.C.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brock is just a big animal and when you compare most heavyweights in the UFC, He is a monster. What he did to Mir was a beatdown. Although I am a fan, I know the only reason he got a title shot was on name recognition alone. I think if Brock can get past Carwin, there ,ay not be anoyone else out there with the size to take Brock...

Frank Mir talked all kinds of smack on Lesnar pre-fight where Lesnar did not. So Lesnar shut him up and talked smack afterwards, in my opinion and the opinion of the people I watch UFC with, Mir got what he had coming. Everyone on here keeps whining that Lesnar is not that great of a fighter and he only got a title shot b/c of name recognition. So what? He won didn't he? Regardless of how he got the fight, he won the fight, and until someone is strong enough or big enough to beat him, he is the champion.
