UFC President Dana White recently did an interview with Yahoo Sports and shed some more light on Brock Lesnar’s recent health problems.
“He had a hole in his intestine,” White said. “The (stuff) was leaking into his stomach. That’s what was causing him so much pain. That and he had abscesses.
White also indicated that was not sure whether Lesnar would fight again or not, claiming things could still go either way. He also said Lesnar would be visiting the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, early next week for another round of tests.
“The doctor told him he hasn’t been right for a year.” White said. “His immune system has been trying to fight this thing and that’s why he was susceptible to getting sick.”
His weakened immune system explains his recent bout with mono and the initial cancellation of his Heavyweight Championship fight against Shane Carwin that would have taken this place this upcoming Saturday.
White also declared that no decision would be made regarding the status of Lesnar’s Heavyweight Championship until the company knew how long Lesnar might be out.

Comments
When you ignore diverticulitis symptoms that is what happens. For him to have a hole and multiple pockets means that he was suffering for years. Not unlike many an athlete who doesn't want to admit something is wrong or go get a check up, Lesnar didn't do what was best for him
