The mainstream media will pick up on Trump’s involvement and send more attention to the WWE. More attention can lead to higher ratings. Higher ratings means a happier Vince McMahon.

Trump has a successful track record in business. I can’t see him getting involved without the intentions of becoming successful. His business savvy and social networking could take WWE to a higher level with a potential boost in advertisers and supporters.
Separation
With the “purchase” of WWE RAW, Trump can give the show it’s own identity. He didn’t waste any time either. His first act was to declare the next edition of RAW will be televised without any commercials.
