The 23rd Annual Survivor Series is in the books. If you didn't see the show, you have nothing to worry about as the titles are all in the same place and nothing really amazing on the whole took place. Surprising results did happen and a star was absolutely born in Kofi Kingston. Here are the complete results with my thoughts in there as well.

The Miz, Sheamus, and Drew McIntrye of Team Miz survive by beating Team Morrison

Surprising now, but a smart move for the future of the company. As stated before, The Miz vs. John Morrison will be able to headline PPVs in the future. It is smart to have The Miz win and continue to one-up Morrison as Morrison's eventual win will mean much more then. Having Sheamus and Drew McIntyre survive gives a great boost to these two outstanding young talents. Other thoughts here: Dolph Ziggler, by being the first man eliminated, is officially out of his role of breakout star of 2009. He's no longer believable in any way, which is a shame as he's a great talent. Not a lot of Swagger-Miz interaction here which was disappointing. Sheamus getting the final pin is a welcome surprise as he has finally gotten an important win over an important opponent since moving to Raw.

Batista defeats Rey Mysterio by referee stopage after three Batista Bombs

With Rey's knee injury, you knew Batista would be doing something to take Rey out for a while. I thought Rey would get the win before that, but he didn't. Batista winning is fine as the feud can continue when Rey comes back. I do question WWE having this match in Batista's hometown. WWE did not want the cheers that Batista got and look for the audio from the beat down to disappear on TV this week. Batista will probably move on to The Undertaker now, which is good as these two have some great matches together.

Kofi Kingston is the Sole Survivor by pinning Randy Orton

A star is born folks. I am very, very pleasantly surprised that Kofi beat Randy. Randy did the right thing for business here and has made Kofi Kingston a top guy. If you read my predictions earlier, you know I was right with one thing: Kofi and Randy barely touched. One move separated them which means that fans will still be clamoring for the one-on-one contest. This match seems like a good one and you should go out of your way to see it on the internet this week. CM Punk having a nice showing is good as well as he needs to stay towards the top. This was all about Kofi and he is riding the biggest wave of momentum of his career. Hopefully WWE follows it up well tomorrow night on Raw.

Undertaker retains the World Title against Big Show and Chris Jericho

This has been my least favorite result so far tonight. I don't know why, but I'm just not enjoying this Undertaker title reign as much as I thought I would. Jericho and Big Show have their blow up and we can look forward to them losing the titles very shortly. Show KOs Jericho and taps out to the Hell's Gate. Not too shabby, but still, I would like to have seen Jericho pick up the win.

The good divas beat the bad divas...

...too the sound of no one caring.

John Cena retains his title by beating DX

Great start to this match as HBK lays out Triple H as soon as the bell rings. This was a very fun match, but the result was not in question the entire time. As I said earlier, we knew the match would be good, but the build up just did not make me care about it. I'm very, very happy that Hornswoggle did not get involved in the match and allowed it to be between the three guys in the ring. Now that DX should be out of the title picture, who does this leave for Cena? In what will come to a surprise to no one...it will probably be DX again as we all know WWE loves regurgetating main events.

So another Survivor Series is in the books and not much has changed in the WWE Universe. I look forward to the continuing evolution and success of Kofi Kingston as they lead to TLC next month. What did everyone else think of the show?

I thought Survivor Series was consistently entertaining. I liked how Jericho blatantly used the title in front of the ref. I always thought triple threats automatically being No DQ matches was always one of wrestling's dirty little secrets that never went acknowledged.
I also thought the Cena-HHH-HBK match was very entertaining - even if it had no major build and won't have a major consequence. It had interesting psychology and pacing. I also liked how it seemed to play on the expectations of controversial endings we've developed since the Attitude era (HHH being superkicked on top of Cena for a pin, two men making a pin at the same time, etc.) One of the better PPV's I've seen in a long time.

I think that this Survivor Series was an excellent pay-per-view despite the fact that all titles are still being holden by the same men.And it wasn't just Kofi Kingston the raising star...the future is in him as well as it is in Mcintyre and Sheamus.I think those three,The Miz,Mcintyre and Sheamus would be a great heel stable

I like the thought of your idea Rick, but I actually think it would be a bad thing for Miz, Sheamus, and McIntyre. These three guys need to grow on their own before they align with someone. Otherwise, they would get lost in each other's shuffle. I will have you look no further than Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes to prove my point. These guys were given no time to grow as a heel tandem before they became Randy's lackeys. No matter when they turn them face, it is going to take a very long time for me to take them as real threats. I don't want to see that happen to Miz, Sheamus, and McIntyre.
