It's official: 'The Masterpiece' Chris Masters, creator of the 'Masterlock Challenge', is returning to the ring.
Masters was released from the company back in 2007 following multiple violations of WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Policy also commonly referred to as the WWE Wellness Policy. Prior to his release he had taken a leave of absence to attend rehab and returned months later looking quite different. Over time, his muscle mass returned and resulted in another 30 day suspension. In November 2007, yet another suspension was given, this time 60 days. However, just a few days later, WWE gave Masters his walking papers.
Nothing has been announced regarding his exact date of return or the direction his character will be taking. The WWE appeared to have big plans for Masters back in 2007 before the suspensions began. Reports are saying Masters has lost a significant amount of weight since he was last seen in the ring. Be on the lookout for upcoming promos on WWE programming regarding his return debut.
