It was a moderately successful weekend financially for World Wrestling Entertainment, as they ran live event house shows this weekend in Houston and Beaumont.
The Friday night Raw event in Houston saw an estimated 13,000 paid attendance that brought in nearly $400,000 in revenue. The Sunday Raw event in Beaumont only drew 3,500, but brought in an estimated $100,000.
WWE announced their return to Texas will be in Tyler on Satuday, October 2 with a Raw and SmackDown supershow. The event will be held at the Oil Palace and tickets will go on sale on August 14. Tickets will be available at the arena box office and all usual ticket outlets. Prices will range from $15 up to $60.
The next night, October 3, WWE breaks out the PPV cameras with their "Hell In A Cell" event. It will be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Tickets start at $25, and are available now through Ticketmaster or you can charge-by-phone by calling 1-800-745-3000. Ticket prices will go up to $300, and the ringside tickets will also include the commemorative take-home chair.
Then, WWE will roll the pay-per-view lights back into the Toyota Center with "TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs" on Sunday, December 19. Tickets for that event are also on sale, and range from $25 to $300. Much like the event in Dallas, the ringside tickets for TLC will also include the ringside chair you can take home to commemorate the event.
Superstars expected to appear at both pay-per-view events include John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Chris Jericho, The Miz, NEXUS, and many more. As with all WWE events, card is subject to change. For more information, please check out the WWE website for events coming to your area.
