In a move that was not only not suprising but long overdue in the eyes of a lot of people, TNA abruptly fired radio personality and occasional TNA loudmouth Bubba the Love Sponge.

Bubba, whose given name is Todd Clem, reportedly made numerous amounts of derogatory comments and racial slurs towards former TNA Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong. The comments were part of a lengthy verbal war between the two, which erupted when Clem made an inhuman remark about the recent Haiti disaster. Kong was a big advocate and supporter of the relief efforts of the victims affected by the tragedy.

The final incident occurred on a recent edition of "The Cowhead Show," which is a radio show featuring Mike "Cowhead" Calta and is featured on Rock105 in Tampa, Florida. According to reports, Clem continued his profanity-laced racial comments towards Awesome Kong, which left TNA management no other choice to but to terminate him immediately.

It's about time they dumped him. Radio and TV don't mix well. His racist remarks won't be missed.

I heard their argument, and the moment I heard BTLS call her a black *****, I wanted to beat this guy up so bad. I'm not black, but I hate racism, and only an uneducated idiot will use racial slurs. How ironic that his name is love sponge, when all he is absorbing is nothing but hate from everyone.

Shock jocks are an archaic niche that are very slowly beginning to decrease in numbers. Most people have realized that everyone else is already trying to be Howard Stern, and the ability to be shocking every day becomes more and more difficult as they try to best each other as well as themselves. Bubba is a relic of lazy radio programming. He won't be missed on TV, and when he inevitably proves too much of a liability for stations to keep on the air, he'll barely be missed on radio as well.

Calling someone black is not racism, it is being descriptive.

bubba wanted to be fired and she is horrible.. her character is stupid. i watch wrestling for good fights and hot chicks.. she provides me with a good opportunity to channel surf. wwe would be stupid to bring her in. bubba is out there...yes...but she is no angel in this. bubba believes in doing charity where you live, take care of your own first.... i don't see anything wrong with that.

speaking of racial slurs... how about the name KONG for a large black person.. are you kidding me... she wasn't known by that before she went to TNA.

Actually if you do your backwork, she was known as Amazing Kong prior to joining TNA. She was and once again is a part of SHIMMER and a couple of other places that she can revert back to the name.

I'm not going to say either of them were angels, but she would've never had a word to say had he kept his mouth shut about the whole Haiti ordeal.

And if you think that Awesome Kong is boring, I just sincerely hope you don't honestly think that Kelly Kelly vs. Michelle McCool is quality entertainment. Crap like that makes me long for REAL wrestling matches with the likes of Trish Stratus and Molly Holly.

The state of women's wrestling went through the gutter once Trish, Molly, and Lita walked out the door. They were one of the rare positive results of the attitude era, an era in which the majority of wrestling fans were spoiled.
