- Shane McMahon has tendered his resignation with WWE effective January 1, 2010. There is a lot of speculation as to why Shane in leaving including friction between he and Stephanie and HHH. Shane is also a major MMA fan and has been trying for years to get Vince to starting or sponsoring an MMA promotion and Shane could be moving into that direction. One other possible reason being bandied about is Shane is leaving to help mother Linda in her bid for Senate and wants to reduce any conflict of interest with the board of WWE.
