Starting on November 24, 2011, Rainier Academy of Integrated Arts will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on inorder to raise money for their organization This organization is going to alter and impact the face of education in rural Thurston County, Washington.
Rainier Academy of Integrated Arts was founded by a group of dedicated parents and teachers. It is a non-profit, private elementary school with a pre-k program that was once located on 10 wooded acres in Rainier, Washington. Rainier Academy's mission is to provide an educational environment that nurtures the development of mind, character and academic excellence.
Rainier Academy of Integrated Arts is in its gestation period. It is currently collaborating with a local school board in a year long feasibility study that upon completion and approval of the School Board , will bring the first ever options/ alternative educational program to rural Thurston County.
Rainier Academy implemented one of the first Mindfulness Programs in the county while open as a private school. Now, to bring Mindfulness and the Options Program to the county, residents, shop owners and business professionals , to name just a few, are joining together to support the creation of transformative education.
