Authorities continued their search Sunday for the arsonist who ignited a fire in a Towson University dormitory Saturday, the state fire marshal’s office said.

“We’re still developing a suspect,” said W. Faron Taylor, deputy state fire marshal.

Students discovered the fire at 4:15 a.m. Saturday in an elevator of a 13-story campus high-rise on Tower Drive.

The fire, which caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to the elevator, led to the dorm’s evacuation.
