The Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenway will sponsor the eighth annual River Sweep, a shoreline cleanup, on Earth Day, Saturday, April 21. The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., rain or shine.

Volunteers should gather at the Tydings Park Gazebo in Havre de Grace, the Community Park and Boat Launch in Perryville or the Marina Park in Port Depost.

To register, visit www.hitourtrails.com or call 410-457-2482. Everyone who registers and participates will receive a free lunch and a T-shirt commemorating the event.

An Earth Day celebration at the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum, at 100 Lafayette St. in Havre de Grace, will follow the River Sweep. The celebration is also open to the general public.
