Morning crash closes I-270 near Hyattstown
Clarksburg, Md. -
A woman sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision Wednesday morning on northbound I-270 near Hyattstown, north of The collision occurred at 6:42 a.m., when a Mercury Sabel driven by Evan Crump, 26, of Silver Spring, struck a Ford Explorer driven by Ricardo Rada, 48, of Julie Roundtree, 25, of The interstate was closed in both directions for about 30 minutes while the helicopter was on the ground, according to police. While police conducted the crash investigation, the southbound lanes were open and one lane of the northbound lane was closed. Crump was issued a traffic citation for making an unsafe lane change. |
