The 6th Annual ArtHelps Silent Auction features more than 30 contemporary paintings, sculptures and handmade jewelry. Fretting over what to get for those folks who have everything? What could be better than a sure bet for finding something different - while partying with arty folks and supporting good community causes at the same time? JAM Communications is hosting the 6th Annual ArtHelps Silent Auction from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, with bidding ending at 9:15 p.m. Proceeds from this year’s event will go to Food & Friends and DC Arts Center. Last year, ArtHelps featured nearly three dozen contemporary paintings,sculptures and handmade jewelry, many selling at fairly affordable prices - while still raising $22,490 for charity. The works are donated by private collectors, businesses and artists from the D.C.-Baltimore region and worldwide. Local artists include Mike Weber and Mary D. Ott.
