Play with possibilities
WASHINGTON -

Welcome to our third week focused on the interplay of yoga and creativity. Today we’re exploring ways to think outside the box and dig deep into what it is we truly want. Sometimes we can become so bogged down with our obligations that we miss opportunities to play, grow and re-evaluate.

By taking some much-needed reflection time, answers will begin to appear. To get started, pull out a pen and paper and ponder the following:

» Do I wake up most mornings excited about the day?

» What am I most passionate about?

» What am I most frustrated about?

» If I could change anything in my life, what would it be?

» What am I most grateful for?

» What do I feel stirring beneath the surface?

» Am I living up to my full potential?

» In what ways am I creating a legacy with my life?

» How satisfied am I with whom I have become? (For example, 1 least, 10 most)

» What small changes can I make to increase my satisfaction?

I encourage you to explore these questions on a quarterly basis, as we’re fluid beings and life is always changing. Reflecting seasonally on where you are overall allows you to begin peeling back the layers to get to where you want to go. You may find that a relationship, job or situation no longer serve you, but you stay in it out of a desire for comfort and an inclination not to rock the boat. However, the comfort zone can be terribly constricting.
