Washington Metro Area -

Heads-up: Work on the Beltway at the route 193 Georgetown Pike Bridge is going on today and Monday. Crews will shut down the two right lanes today. On Monday the work will cause the two left lanes to shut down. A conduit is being installed on the bridge crossing. Look out for those closures tonight and Monday night from 10 to 5 a.m.

Massachusetts Avenue

The District Department of Transportation is working on the bridge over Rock Creek Parkway on Massachusetts Avenue. Crews are working from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. every day until mid-August. All lanes are expected to be open for rush hour and daily commutes.

Fairfax County

If you drive on Route 702 in the Vienna area, get ready to find an alternate route. The Virginia Department of Transportation is closing the road in both directions between Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) and Route 675 (Browns Mill Road) for a month. The work starts Monday and is expected to last until Aug. 28. The road is being closed for widening and utility work.
