S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department's daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol. ParkCole Valley, Haight, Castro, Twin Peaks, Panhandle Armed robbery: Two men robbed a woman walking at Frederick and Delmar streets at 10:30 p.m. May 1. They thrust a gun toward her face and demanded her valuables. CentralFinancial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill Chase scene: Officers responded to the 500 block of Davis Street on a purse-snatch robbery at 5:51 a.m. May 2. En route, the officers saw the suspect, a 49-year-old man, running down Union Street. The officers caught the suspect, who had discarded the property. The victim identified the suspect. TenderloinTenderloin, bordered by Geary, Market and Larkin streets Drug bust: Officers observed a man cross Leavenworth and Ellis streets against a red light April 28. The officers attempted to detain the man, but he ran from the officers. After a brief chase, the man was arrested. Officers found 28 rocks of crack cocaine on the suspect. RichmondRichmond, most of Golden Gate Park Group-home assault: Officers responded to a call of an assault at a group home on the 6300 block of Geary Boulevard at midnight April 28. One of the tenants had been assaulted by four males, two of whom were residents of the home. One of the males pulled out a knife, and the victim was cut. He was then punched and kicked by all four. All but one of the suspects fled prior to officers arriving. The remaining suspect was found under a bed. A 25-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault. TaravalSunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park Stalker: Officers went to the 2300 block of 20th Avenue, where a stalker had trespassed on a roof and threatened his ex-girlfriend at 10:38 p.m. May 2. The officers arrested the suspect on two felonies. |
