Urbano continues habit of Washington MVPs
SAN FRANCISCO -
Senior Paolo Urbano became the third Washington player in four years to capture the Peter K. Yan Award as MVP of the Academic Athletic Association on Wednesday. Postseason champ Lowell and regular-season titlist Galileo each placed two players on the All-AAA first team. Junior Christopher Leung and sophomore Joseph Lee were selected from the Cardinals, who knocked off Galileo in four games to win the San Francisco Section championship. Senior Raymond Chow and sophomore Nick Lew represented the Lions, who went 11-1 during the regular season to edge Lowell by one game. Other first-teamers were Burton senior Arnel Roca, Washington senior Ronald Szeto and Balboa sophomore Jeffrey Ly.
