These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department’s daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol. MissionMission district, Noe Valley Quite a drag: A woman walking in the area of Duboce Avenue and Valencia Street at 7:56 a.m. April 7 was the victim of a purse snatching. The woman attempted to hold on to her purse and was dragged on the ground by the suspect. The suspect entered a waiting vehicle with a second suspect driving. The victim held on to her purse as the vehicle drove away, but eventually let go. TaravalSunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park Sobering: Officers stopped a vehicle at Alemany Boulevard and Crystal Street at 2:56 a.m. April 7 for speeding and swerving from lane to lane. They noticed that the driver smelled like alcohol. She was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. TenderloinTenderloin, bordered by Geary, Market and Larkin streets Drug bust: Plainclothesmen arrested several men at O’Farrell and Jones streets April 7 on suspicion of possession of crack cocaine for sale. CentralFinancial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill Underage arrest: An officer arrested a 16-year-old girl on the 900 block of Leavenworth street at 11 p.m. April 10 on suspicion of soliciting acts of prostitution. BayviewBayview, Hunters Point Armed robbery: An officer was on foot looking for the suspects involved in a robbery at Rhode Island and 23rd streets in Potrero Hill at 11:15 p.m. April 8. The officer saw two suspects walking in the area matching the description of suspects involved. Two sherriff’s deputies stopped and detained the two suspects and recovered a loaded gun on one of them. Several victims positively identified the suspects as the ones who robbed them at gunpoint. Both were booked at Youth Guidance Center for robbery. |
