Redwood CityAssault: A caller reported that her son was assaulted at 5:01 p.m. April 4 by juveniles who punched the 14-year-old in the stomach and stole his cell phone. BelmontChecks stolen: A caller reported at 1:17 p.m. April 10 from Monserat Avenue that checks were stolen from a mailbox; the payee was altered and fraudulently cashed. South CityStoned: A person in a white truck reported at 8:35 a.m. April 8 at Utah Avenue and Harbor Way that a subject in a silver car with paper license plates got out of the vehicle and threw rocks at him. San MateoBusted bus: A bus that hit either a street sign or street light and stopped in the middle of the road was reported at 7:01 p.m. April 2 at East Hillsdale Boulevard and South El Camino Real. Animal abuse: A caller reported at 1:54 p.m. April 3 on the 100 block of 14th Avenue that a man walking his dog was choking the dog. Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA had no units available to respond. Daly CityBad move: A call requesting assistance was reported at 12:43 p.m. April 4 from 300 block of Glenwood Avenue for violation of a visitation order by a mother who moved with her 3-year-old daughter to Texas without consulting the father. Muted music: A gray 2000 Chrysler was burglarized by smashing a window and stealing a trumpet valued at $500 to $700 was reported at 3:32 p.m. April 4 from 1800 block of Junipero Serra Boulevard. BurlingameCar break-ins: Someone broke into a black 2000 Audi and then entered an unlocked white 2004 BMW and stole items including glasses and a gym bag from the two cars on the 1500 block of Columbus Avenue before 10:29 a.m. on April 2. |
