The fiancee of an Annapolis man found dead along a road in Davidsonville says she has no idea why anyone would hurt the man she planned to marry next year.

Frank Jones, 38, of Tyler Avenue, was found by a driver on Brick Church Road after 8 a.m. last Wednesday.

“He was a really good person, and this was a senseless death,” said Jones’ fiancee, Shavon Kyle, who added that Anne Arundel police have given her little information, only saying he was shot to death.

“I don’t know why this happened. He got along with everybody.”

Anne Arundel police say they are searching for Jones’ 2007 light-green Hyundai Tucson with a luggage rack on the roof. The Maryland tag is either 856M832 or 137M170.

Kyle said she and Jones had been friends for about 25 years and planned to marry in June 2009. He lived with her at the apartment on Tyler Avenue and she was shocked by the news because he hadn’t been missing.

Police are investigating the case as a homicide — the second in the county this year — but they have no suspects or leads and are asking for the public’s help.

County police are working with the Annapolis police to determine if Jones’ murder is related to second homicide that occurred about a block from Jones’ home earlier this week.

Timothy Marsh, 48, of Severna Park, was found slumped behind the wheel of his car with gunshot wounds at 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Tyler Avenue.

“There’s no indication at this time that they were connected,” said Officer Hal Dalton, spokesman for the Annapolis police.

Dalton said police still have no leads or new information in Marsh’s death, which marked the third homicide in Annapolis so far this year, compared to eight in all of last year.

Kyle said Jones has two children living in Georgia and a third child in Maryland.
