Washington girls knock off Lincoln

Five players on the Washington girls’ basketball team scored in double figures as the host Eagles (8-8, 2-0 Academic Athletic Association) beat Lincoln 68-61 in league play. Brittany Woo led Washington with 15 points, including four in the fourth quarter as the Eagles held off a late charge from the Mustangs to remain unbeaten in league play. Lauren Ishii (13), Tierney Jones (12), Olivia Wong (10) and Rachelle Hwee (10) also chipped in offensively for Washington, which knocked Lincoln out of the San Francisco Section playoffs the last time the two teams met. Ronell Foster added 20 points and 16 rebounds for Mission, which led by 11 entering the fourth quarter but saw Marshall rally behind the scoring of Lawrence Melton (21 points) to tie the game at 68-68 in the final minute.
