Juniper Networks, Advanced Micro Devices rise
SAN FRANCISCO -
Sunnyvale-based Juniper Networks, Inc. (JNPR) rose more than 4.6 percent following the close of trading Wednesday, the largest move seen among local stocks tracked by the Examiner. Sunnyvale-based Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) also rose by more than 4 percent, while Redwood City-based Oracle Corp. (ORCL) fell more than 2.3 percent and Santa Clara-based McAfee, Inc. (MFE) more than 2 percent. The Dow Jones fell 0.19 percent Wednesday, while the Nasdaq was up 0.19 percent and the S&P 500 down 0.14 percent. Local companies in the news Wednesday included Oracle Corp. (ORCL), which reported that earnings are up 36 percent in the second quarter. |
