As reported previously, Private Practice has added Caterina Scorsone a.k.a. Amelia Shepherd as a series regular. It looks like Amelia will meet up with her estranged brother over on Grey's Anatomy come fall.
Since both Derek and Amelia witnessed their father's death, the pair have become estranged due to Amelia's drug abuse after the tragedy. But, in the third episode of Grey's Anatomy's 7th season, Amelia will come to Seattle to reconcile with her brother.
With the doctors of Seattle Grace Mercy West still recovering from last season's shooting, it seems creator Shonda Rhimes is not wasting any time resolving these family feuds. Here's to hoping Addison joins Amelia on the trip.
Grey's Anatomy will return September 23rd.
