The IT Crowd is cool

For those of you who have gone through the withdrawals after the BBC sitcom Coupling was canceled, then you might get your own little revival with THE IT CROWD. The award winning writing for the show is a small nudge on the list of reasons why this should be your new guilty pleasure. It's almost insane how any half hour series could pack in so much comedy in only six episodes per season.

The characters of Moss and Douglas steal the show with their crazy, nonchalant antics. Moss [Richard Ayoade ] is smart, irritatingly gullible and annoyingly adorable while Douglas- [Matt Berry] who's recently inherited his position through his deceased father, has just enough eccentric insanity to make you immediately attach to him.  The ringleader of the IT room is Roy [Chris O'Dowd].  His exasperation is reflected in his support techniques of ignoring the phone in the hope it will stop ringing, and using reel-to-reel tape recordings of stock IT suggestions ("Have you tried turning it off and on again?" and "Is it definitely plugged in?"). Jen [Katherine Parkinson], the newest member of the team, is far from understanding technology but that didn't stop her claims otherwise on her employment cover letter which landed her the job as Moss and Roy's supervisor.

The IT CROWD is written by Graham Linehan and produced by Ash Atalla for Channel 4. The series has won BAFTA and International Emmy awards. Three seasons have been produced to date with a Christmas special planned for December 2009, and supposedly a fourth season commissioned for 2010.

The show is set in the offices of Reynholm Industries, a fictitious British corporation in central London. It focuses on the shenanigans of the IT support team located in a basement - a contrast to the rest of the organization. Moss and Roy, the two technicians, are portrayed as socially inept geeks. Despite the company's dependence on their services, they are despised, ignored, and considered losers by the rest of the staff.

Just in case you've missed the first three seasons you can catch it Netflix to watch instantly.
