This article is the first of four reports from the IAL conference.

The International Alliance for Learning, known as IAL, is the world's foremost  organization for learning professionals focused on the pioneering work of Bulguran psychologist Georgi Lozanov and his theory of Suggestopedia, now known in the US and most of the world as Accelerated Learning.

The "New Frontiers in Learning and Innovation" conference takes place at the Omni Westside Houston from January 14-17, 2010. One of the most enjoyable, least pretensious this examiner attends, the attendees are usually an inspiring mix of trainers, teachers, and speakers seeking the latest in advanced learning techniques.

Attendance is likely to be down this year, given the current economic downturn gripping the economy. Those who do attend will experience cutting edge presentarions by Multiple Intelligences master Spencer Kagan, renowned educator Enid Carlson, and other leading learning lights including Doug McPhee, Jay Clancey, Marv Marshall, Lou Russell, and Michelle Cummings.
