Book orders are being placed. Signs and wristbands are being ordered. Some churches have ordered banners to reach a drive by audience. Sermons and small group lessons are in the formative stage. Mobilization has begun for the biggest event of 2010, at least in western Oklahoma.
That’s right, folks in these parts are gearing up for the Great Plains Challenge, also known as One Month to Live. If this is the first that you have heard of this, then follow this link for background and foundation. If you have not only heard of it, but ordered you book, sign, and wrist band and can hardly wait for it to begin; then consider carving out a prayer time in advance. Join in the mobilization.
Just as important as the logistics to such a regional event is the prayer effort that precedes, parallels, and proclaims this program. We should pray that during this period we not only turn inward to examine ourselves, but outward to proclaim the good news. We should pray that people do ask us, “what’s that green one month sign all about?” And we should pray that God’s Holy Spirit leads us in our reply.
Yes, the mobilization is underway. If you are not a part of the logistics, then I invite you to become part of the intercession that calls upon God to enable these few weeks produce much fruit for the Body of Christ!
