Rebooting your life

"We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time."

~ from Four Quartets by T.S. Eliot

Have you ever logged on to check your e-mail or surf the web, only to find yourself adrift in cyberspace? The little activity icon twirls merrily, and you sit there, stuck.

That's exactly how I felt in 2000. For the better part of a year, I'd been unable to launch any Megabyte programs. Yet I'd already completed my spiritual initiation … hadn't I?

After living a labyrinthine healing odyssey in the mid-'90s, I emerged into a knowing: who I am, why I'm here, what I'm meant to do now. I was committed, yet newborn in every sense. I felt fresh out of the womb at 40. Although my body looked pretty much the same, Spirit had reconfigured my mind, using my heart as the tool.

So I got busy: recording a CD about the journey, starting to speak at conferences, publishing articles, crafting my website. It felt good, although a trifle scary. And then, like a capricious computer, I inexplicably froze. If I'd had a restart button, I would have asked someone I trusted to "push my button" or "turn me off, then turn me back on." Since we're not machines, it doesn't work that way.

We reboot our lives by surrendering into ever-greater degrees of integration and personal responsibility (the ability to respond.) For me, this phase of my evolution took time, and many miles.

During this period, I was, in effect, "cleaning up the cache." I attempted to re-inhabit the womb by moving briefly back to Santa Fe, site of two-thirds of my "gestation" — with disastrous results. I knew I couldn't pull the old skin back on once it was shed, yet I tried.

How many of us secretly yearn to crawl back into security when life is demanding we live our greatness? Perhaps Fear has never sat down with you and wrapped its chilly arm around your shoulders. Perhaps you move into each phase of your growth with grace and ease. This is certainly less painful than orbiting Cape Fear, though possibly also less edifying.

If you're at all like me, however, the Queen of Resistance ranks right up there with the Queen of Hearts. Becoming an authentic voice (in whatever our field of endeavor) carries the weight of worthiness, and ties directly into our receptivity to abundance. Living our light means being open to receive the manifold gifts of the Universe.

In his best-selling series, Conversations With God, Neale Donald Walsch explains that we'll do something until we don't need to do it anymore, which means we've learned all we can from practicing that particular pattern. To help yourself release resistance and fear, try playing a little reverse Monopoly. In your mind, reimagine the "Go directly to jail" card with this: "Go to God. Go directly to God. Do not pass Fear, do not collect 200 reasons to dally in denial of your gifts."

The call to live my own light ultimately transformed my resistance into liquid gold, and I rebooted my life in a major way. I invite you to join me in manifesting your magnificence, here in the "wow" moment!

For further inspiration:

Here are some additional tools to assist you in finding and staying on your path.

1)    Laugh. The Buddha said we all want to know the answers to four key questions in life: "Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going? And will there be food there?" Laughter lights us up. Conscious evolution is purposeful play! Whatever brings you belly laughs is healthy, because laughter oxygenates body and brain, thereby strengthening your "amuse" system. Think of something that's troubling you and consider this: if it will be funny in the retelling six months hence, it's funny now — if you allow the possibility.

2)    Live the WOW (Witness Our Wonder). A vivacious 73-year-old woman made a quantum shift in her thinking, from "Life is a series of emergencies" to "Life is full of surprises!" Instead of anxiously reacting to every "oh no!" she's now able to anticipate the next "ah ha!"

3)    Give what you seek. Peace troubadour and author James Twyman says giving others what you most desire is the surest path to inner peace, because there is no separation between us. "If I'm lacking peace, you're lacking peace. If I give you peace, then I receive that same peace," he says. Read my Twyman interview.

4)    Do a "vow break." This is a wonderful way to get sticky energy unstuck. You can rescind any vows you may have taken prior to incarnating to have a certain experience in this life; for example, poverty. The formula below is from the book, What Is Lightbody? by Tashira Tachi-ren. The same vow break can also be found on my CD, What You Need to Know Now-A Road Map for Personal Transformation

"I now rescind any and all vows I have taken to experience the illusion of (fill in the blank, for example, 'not having enough money'.) I declare this vow null and void in this incarnation and all incarnations across time and space, parallel realities, parallel universes, alternate realities, alternate universes, all planetary systems, all Source systems, all dimensions, and the Void.

"I ask for the release of all crystals, devices, thought forms, emotions, matrices, veils, cellular memory, pictures of reality, genetic limitation, and death. NOW!"

    Hi Sandra,

You are my one-woman cheering section, thank you! Crystals in this case refers to "implants" that could be keeping you locked in outmoded thinking or behaviors, not the kind of crystals you'd use to elevate consciousness, lol! I agree, it's a bit confusing.

Awesome that you keep seeing 11:11 ~ this is a major trigger to awakening. See Solara's website, Nvisible.com for lots more info.

    Blessings,
    Amara
