The year's biggest political lies

Populist Examiner
The folks over at FactCheck.org have come up with a list of the biggest lies of 2009. Sorry, Joe Wilson didn't make the list. But others did, including:
--Birther claims
--Death Panels rumors
--Obama will take away your guns
--Swine flu fears of a pandemic that would rival the 1918 flu pandemic
--Stimulus package falsehoods, like the claims that the bill funded golf carts, water slides and an $8 billion-dollar "levitating train" to Disneyland.
They didn't get everything. I don't know if these qualify as the big whoppers of 2009 --they're sort of half-sarcastic fun, but here are a few others for your consideration:
--Obama: I never campaigned for the public option
--The governor is hiking in the Appalachian Mountains
--Janet Napolitano: The system worked
--Peter King: No, it didn't
--Janet Napolitano: Our system did not work in this instance
--Almost anything Dick Cheney says (Sorry, that's not 2009; that's a Lifetime Achievement Award)
Seriously, what lies would make your list? Put them in the comments section. Don't be a child about it; come up with some good ones.

A little over a year ago, then-candidate Obama said, "And I can make a firm pledge: Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 will see their taxes increase -- not your income taxes, not your payroll taxes, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."
If you believe that I have a bridge.........
Did people making less than $250,000 a year get some tax increase I have not heard about? Last time I checked, Obama had lowered taxes for people in that income range and just brokered a shabby deal with the Republicans to keep taxes down.
After this recent 'we won't do anything unless the top 2% get a tax break' stunt, I think the Republicans have lost all claim to being the party of lower taxes.
