Scott Brown trashed on Facebook after jobs vote

Sen Scott Brown's honeymoon with American conservatives didn't last very long.

The day the one-time darling of the right voted for the Democrats' jobs bill, his Facebook profile was deluged with angry comments from one-time supporters. Brown tried to defend his vote: His status reads, in part, "I came to Washington to be an independent voice, to put politics aside, and to do everything in my power to help create jobs for Massachusetts families."

But that didn't stop former fans from piling on. "I just love Taxachusetts in the spring when the naked Senators are out frollicking [sic] and all the tea is being bagged. A little slice of heaven here on earth," one commenter snarked. "WWTKD?" another asked, in one of the more polite references to Teddy Kennedy.

But for all the bashing of "Benedict Brown," there were also a significant number of comments from Facebookers who praised Brown for bucking his party and voting on the merits of the bill.

"Thank you Senator Brown for being a grown up," one woman wrote.

"Finally a Republican who cares about the people."

On the one hand, it's embarrassing that some voters would lash out in such a mean-spirited manner. On the other hand, are they stupid? Did they actually think Scott Brown was going to be a hand-in-glove fit?
Are Americans so easily swayed by rhetoric to think that by electing Barack Obama all their problems would be solved, or that all his promises would be kept? And for that matter, how different are those voters from Tea Partiers who have their own version of hope and change?
One wonders if the woman who thanks Senator Brown for being a grown up would be so grateful had the Senator voted against the jobs bill. One would like to think so, but it seems voters have a terrible tendency to act like spoiled brats when they don't get their way.
We seem to do everything possible to undermine our own country. Instead of working for the betterment of the nation, we attack everything if we don't agree with it.
Obama is a Muslim. Obama is not an American. His Health Care bill stinks. Now it's Scott Brown, the RINO, the Benedict Arnold, the next Ted Kennedy.
   What is wrong with us?

I'm more concerned with barry caught lying on tape about his ties with ACORN than I am with Downtown Scotty Brown. I mean after all how conservative can someone from Ted Kennedy's home state be. The only way you can tell when barry is lying is when you see his lips moving.

I don't get it. What the hell is so wrong with him voting the way he wanted? He has had what, 3 or 4 votes all together?
He is in for 2 years so get used to it.

Exactly. The only think politicians never fail to do is disappoint.

Now if Scott Brown could ignore all of his conservative's concerns and actually focus on what real, decent Americans want (like public option in our health care), then he wouldn't be half-bad.

Gee, that didn't take long. From campaigning against government intervention in medicine to voting for another porkulus which I heard included many provisions of Obamacare added on at the last minute. Time to git out the tar and feathers.

The bill in question didnt have the hardline effects as other bills...aka..healthcare.
I think what Brown did was the right move in this case. I think people are blowing up for no reason. If they looked at the voting record of every Republican Senator in the capital Im sure they would find votes that would make them even more disgusted. I'm sure of it in fact.
Brown is doing what SMART conservatives are wanting,..breaking the ise and being active in some give and take. The next year will give the full story but so far I think he's doing a splendid job.
Those who dont think so are the ones who feel that every vote has to be along party lines. If that always happened, NOTHING would be accomplished by anyone!!! Come on people. I am very much against liberal policies and agendas but even I get this!

What do you expect the government is led by a foreign entity. The government hasn't been for the American people since after WWII. Repukes and Democraps are two wings of the same vulture. When was the last time you heard a politician asked or tell what he would do for the white conservative working/middle class Americans. You'll always hear a politician asked or tell what he'll do for the African American-hispanic-homosexual etc. communities, yet what they can do for the majority white working class is never asked or discussed. It's kind of ironic in that some of the people who are the most patriotic to the government get represented the least.

Do we need more proof of Obama and the Dems hypocrisy?

His vote means nothing if we slip into Sharia law. First the Crescent shape Shanksville 9-11 memorial. Now our very own Department of Defense. Is this just a coincidence or is it nefarious? Have you EVER seen a POTUS personalize the DoD like this one is doing?

A Star and Crescent for the DoD?

Is Obama a Muslim like many think or just a Islamist sympathizer as we have seen with his Justice Department?

The Senate voted to pass the jobs bill. The vote was 70-28 in favor. Guess some of you will have to chock on more RINOs. Break out the lynch mob!
