I was a bit disappointed he didn't take Dobbs to task for the whole 'birther' BS, but if Dobbs had stayed on this intellectual path and not gone off the deep end, he'd have been a real asset for CNN instead of the liability that he became.

In watching Jon Stewart work, you see why people who are tired of the angry blowhard rhetoric. They're tired of the politics of destruction long practice by right wing talk show hosts, or left wing nut bags, or wherever extremists ply their trade.
Maybe it's a product of the Baby Boomer generation attitude of, "If I don't get my way, I'm gonna have a temper tantrum." Here's hoping the succeeding X and Y generation maintains their current cynicism towards unmitigated partisan bovine excrement and has the sense to take the public dialogue in a more civilized direction.

Lou Dobbs was the only one CNN HAD that was worth watching. Maybe Louie can join FNC and help put CNN out of it's misery once and for all. I mean if all you have to offer are clowns like Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, and that King of Bore Larry King your shelf life isn't going to be very long.
Maybe it's a product of the Baby Boomer generation attitude of...."
Get real. What is the problem, with knee-jerk discrimination against racial minorities and opposite gender and ethnic groups frowned upon, you have join the mindless mass to bash Boomers? Boomers voted in the majority for Nixon and Reagan, as well as for Clinton and Obama, so what Boomer generation are you talking about? I know, you're clueless.
And I hear you say, This is not fair. How can I make a fool out of myself when all I was doing was following the dimwitted pack.
Grow up and think.
Is Larry King actually LIVE?
CNN was on its last leg, Dobbs' departure will put them in a comatose state.

Stewart says: "What is the problem, with knee-jerk..."
The problem is knee-jerk. You say "Grow up and think." Thinking is a deliberative process, not a knee-jerk one, and it's not a process well served by mindless name-calling. Your intemperate and hostile tone is precisely the problem. And I happen to be a Baby Boomer. I don't know if the problem is Boomers. I said "MAYBE." I don't know if the problem is Boomers but the attitude on display in your post is DEFINITELY a problem.
Chefs Dad says: Is Larry King actually LIVE? CNN was on its last leg, Dobbs' departure will put them in a comatose state. CABLE NEWS RACE NOV. 18, 2009..."
Sorry, Chefs, but first, we're not talking about whether one cable channel is better than the other; they all suck... without exception. But more to the point, being civil and reasonable is not a contest. Pardon my language here, but I suspect that the more petulant you are, the more likely you are to put up numbers as if this were a dick-swinging contest. That's not the answer.
Has Bruce EVER responded to a poster and NOT taken it the Rule #% of Rules for Radicals and made it personal?
It just diminishes completely your point.
Posters are not the story. Stop personalizing it.
Maybe it's part of Brucie's schtick or insecurities "Chefs Dad" but it does indeed seem like the Brucester has a hard time dealing with opinions that don't cow-tow to his leftist ideology.
Chefs Dad -- I comment in the comments section to continue the discussion, not contest it. Some think I'm trying to turn it into some sort of tit for tat. Comments are not a place (to me) to "win" arguments; they're a place for people to share opinions. Granted, not all opinions have merit, and some aren't opinions at all but just scorched earth, winner-take-all insults or d*ck-swinging. That's how much of our national dialogue is conducted. Stewart's post is a perfect example. I see you posting numbers as a way of saying "my side is better." Break down those numbers and there's analysis that can't bee seen from a list of top tens. Cable stations don't have to be #1; they have to be profitable, and that's it. If they can do that peddling junk, they will, and they do. The kind of chat Stewart and Dobbs had is a rare event on cable news --all cable news.
