Best neon sign ever

Sometimes the right bulbs on a neon sign go out and the message becomes completely wrong.

NY Times

The right bulbs burned out on the sign above Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, NY, to read, "I'm hurt," with the "e" and the "s" burnt out and the "l" looking like the letter "I."
When the NY Times pointed it out to hospital officials, a spokesman seemed surprised and said, "Oh, God, are we going to get this fixed?"

Sad part: It might take five years to fix this knowing how fast the city --ahem-- operates.

It wouldn't be the first time a burnt-out bulb conveyed a different message.

Gotta see Obama and Jintao talking about the economy and America's debt to China.

Did you love the Palin parodies just as much?

There used to be a Chock Full of Nuts coffee shop in my neighborhood. They had a small neon sign with their slogan, "The Heavenly Coffee." Once, with the lights burnt out, it read, "The Heave Coffee." That was about right.

The irony with the sign is if ObamaPelosiCare is passed, the sign will say "I'm hurt and cannot get care".

CudaShmuda says:Did you love the Palin parodies just as much?

That WAS NOT a parody! That was TRUE. Jintao wants to be kissed when he is being SCREWED by Obama and Geithner.

That's funny. Call it Seinfeld's Health Nazi: "No care for you!" ON the other hand, if we don't do something, too many Americans will be saying, "I'm hurt and I cannot afford care!" As more and more employers drop health care benefits for their employees, that'll be next, and it'll be middle class. Then you'll see a lot of people who are opposing reform today, demand reform.
