Wearing futuristicly stylized attire, Fergie and her Black Eyed Peas took over Times Square in New York City last night (March 10, 2010) performing a surprise concert.  The music event was scheduled to promote the launch of Samsung's new 3D TV's which are available this week.  Starpulse.com reported that though the concert was lip synced and not publicized it still drew in throngs of people.

Reportedly the city's regulations mandate that an event in Times Square cannot be formally announced until 30 minutes prior to its scheduled start.  Thanks to modern technology and their Twitter accounts, the unstoppable pop icons still managed to pull in a crowd of 10,000 people +/-.  In response to the success of the event will.i.am was quoted as saying it, "showed us the power of new... the new world; the power of communication and technology."

If you missed the Peas in New York city you can still catch them on their nationwide trek alongside Ludacris and LMFAO.  They have plans to stop at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO on Saturday, March 27 and I will have live coverage and exclusive photos for you right here.  You can also check the complete listing of their tour dates at: http://www.blackeyedpeas.com/home/events.
