The holiday season is upon us, and while many people may still be wondering what to buy the special person in their life for Christmas, the self-titled album from the Canadian Tenors is the answer. The Tenors’ CD is released through Decca records. Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira, and Fraser Walters – also known as the Canadian Tenors, are the newest rising stars on their way to superstardom. The sound that the Canadian Tenors bring to the world of music is one of contemporary pop, with a classical influence. The Tenors performed with David Foster on the legendary producer’s Hitman tour this past October, which was an absolute sensation. David Foster is known not only for his extraordinary songwriting and producing skills, but also his remarkable ability to find the best musical talent.

The Tenors have performed for such legendary performers as Andrea Bocelli, Sting, Wyclef Jean, and John Legend to name a few. The Tenors have performed opening songs for President Bill Clinton, and Prime Minister Tony Blair. The Tenors’ extraordinary performances moved President Bill Clinton to say: “I love these guys.”

The Canadian Tenors, the self-titled album presents a beautifully, and immaculately crafted listening experience, unlike anything one has ever heard. Among the producers who collaborated with the Tenors on this project are Quiz and Larossi who worked with Il Divo, Steve Thompson who has worked with Madonna, and Grammy-award winner Humberto Gatica who has worked with Elton John and Celine Dion.

The songs on their self-titled album are as follows: “Adagio,” “Hallelujah,” “Luna,” “Because We Believe,” “I Only Know How to Love,” “Belle,” “The Prayer,” “Always There,” “La Califfa,” “Watching over Me,” “Remember Me.” “Hallelujah,” written by Leonard Cohen and immortalized by Jeff Buckley’s rendition is featured on the album, and is hauntingly beautiful. “Because We Believe” was written by Andrea Bocelli and David Foster; the song was also featured on Bocelli’s Amore album. The Tenors while maintaining a song’s authenticity create sheer magic with their soaring and penetrative vocal interpretations. With each song, you will lose yourself in a contemplative reverie. The music is moving and reflective.

Not only are the Tenors phenomenal vocalists, but they have also been very involved in many children’s charities. They filmed a documentary to raise awareness of the much suffered village of Bulembu, Swaziland, and shared the stage with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck at the ONEXONE galas.

The Canadian Tenors is an album not to be missed. If you purchase this album as a holiday gift, or you are looking for a CD worth adding to your collection – The Canadian Tenors is the obvious choice. You will want to listen to this brilliant collection of songs, all year long.
