In a new interview, the legendary performer discusses the internet and why he dislikes iTunes. In his first interview with a newspaper in about 10 years, Prince did not discuss anything from the past including Michael Jackson.
As PopEater reports, Prince reportedly said in an interview with the Daily Mirror from the UK: "The Internet's completely over. The Internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."
Prince who is planning to release his thirty-third album, a new CD entitled, "20TEN," will only be releasing it in that format according to the interview. Also, there will reportedly be no downloads available. He says of iTunes: "I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it."
Prince went on to say that he believes 2010 is a year that is really going to matter. He also says that people in general "need more God in their lives."
Do you agree with what Prince is saying in this latest interview? Is it necessary for an artist to make use of the internet and things such as iTunes. Do you agree with what he says about the internet being over?

Comments
Well I think Prince needs to chill out on the whole inexplicable hatred of the net. He outta just use itunes, and stop harassing YouTube for putting up wedding videos that have a little Prince music innit.
How's he supposed ta generate buzz?
