Michael Jackson update: Conrad Murray plans to resume medical practice

AP

While the family, friends and fans of Michael Jackson are still devastated over his death, Dr. Conrad Murray who was charged formally yesterday with one count of manslaughter plans to resume working.

A spokesperson for Murray, Miranda Sevcik told RadarOnline: "Dr. Murray is still in L.A. He is planning to leave to go back to work in a few days."

The media outlet also points out, that while Murray will go back to work, there are limitations. "Judge Keith Schwartz placed limitations on Dr. Murray's medical practice, explicitly telling Dr. Murray to not administer, prescribe or possess propofol. Judge Schwartz also told Dr. Murray he was not to heavily sedate anyone."

What do you think? Should Murray be allowed to practice medicine at all at this point?

He should sit in jail until his trial. MJ can't do his shows because he is dead allegedly killed by Conrad Murray. So no Murray should not be allowed to return to work. Judge Wimp's only restricted is that he is not allowed to give people IV propofol anymore which is idiotic since he should NEVER have been doing it in the first place. He is not an anesthesiologist.

His license should be pulled. He showed blatant disregard for human life.

It would be nice if the general public could take a minute
and think about if MJ was acting responsible for his own well being too.
His Family and or friends, his rent-a-doctor du jour and himself all played
a part in what is undoughtly a very sad ending to someone
whom seemed troubled to begin with. I would recommend,
Civil judgement with a hefty fine,
pull medical lincence and real community service. Does everything in the
news now a days have to end so tragic to make people feel better?

Murray's level of arrogance -- avoiding the inevitable bitter pill of possibly losing his freedom and medical license over such gross negligence -- is appalling. His denial of the oath he took as a physician to save and protect was compromised by his own financial agenda. Whether desperation gave way to greed -- only Dr. Murray can answer that question. Michael Jackson also was desperate with his needs, which were never met. He needed an intervention to save his life from his addiction. Dr. Murray didn't just make house calls, he lived with the superstar and fed him his drip of drugs from his bedroom around the clock. He should lose his license to practice anywhere in the universe.
