Michael Jackson was under the care of Dr. Conrad Murray at the time of his death, and today Murray was formally charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter. If convicted, he can face up to four years in prison. Jermaine Jackson mentioned to a reporter upon entering the Los Angeles courthouse today, that the charge and possible sentence is "not enough."
The Medical Board of California would like to see Murray's license to practice medicine revoked. TMZ reports: "The Medical Board of California was shut down today by the judge in Murray's involuntary manslaughter case. The Board wanted the judge to immediately stop Dr. Murray in his tracks from practicing medicine as a condition to bail.
According to documents filed with the court, the Board believes Murray showed, 'utter disregard for the care and well-being of the persons entrusted to his care' -- namely, Michael Jackson."
Randy Jackson, brother to the King of Pop, tweeted from court and a few words to say, but to the point of how he is feeling.
Randy Jackson tweets via Twitter:
"Sitting in court & I'm sad. Those profiting most from my bro’s death: AEG, Randy Phillips, Kenny Ortega, Estate Executors r nowhere in sight."
How are you feeling now that Dr. Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. What do you think of the charge? Joe Jackson's lawyer Brian Oxman has said the charge is "like a slap on the wrist." He also said: "There's great disappointment here. [Conrad Murray] should've been charged with a higher degree of responsibility. What he did was reckless. It was a disregard for human life."
How are you feeling about the charge brought against Conrad Murray? Too lenient?
