A rep for Billy Joel has confirmed the news that he and his wife Katie Lee - a celebrity chef - are indeed divorcing. Joel's rep said: "After nearly five years of marriage Billy Joel & Katie Lee Joel have decided to separate. This decision is a result of much thoughtful consideration. Billy & Katie remain caring friends with admiration and respect for each other."

The 60-year-old singer has been jealous of his wife’s relationship with another man, according to published reports.
Katie, 27, attended an event alone on June 13 at Montauk, N.Y. Yacht Club. This is the third marriage for Billy.
Divorce papers have not been filed yet. But are expected to be filed shortly.

If I looked like a skid row bum and had millions of dollars I would have paid any price just to have had a beautiful wife like this for any length of time.
So the divorce will not be cheap, but he got his money's worth.
