Brittany Murphy's mother-in-law, husband Simon Monjack's mother says of the family: "we're just completely devastated."
Mr Monjack’s mother, hypnotherapist Linda, said she was “devastated” when she heard the news.
According to thejc.com, Monjack's mother Linda says of her son: “He has lost the love of his life. It’s very hard for everybody, especially Simon and Brittany’s mother." She continued: “I’ve spoken to her mother and she is distraught. Brittany was an only child and her mother was living with them.” She added saying that she spoke to her son: “I was up at two o’clock in the morning talking to him last night. He’s not good at all. It’s such a shock. We're just completely devastated."
Murphy's husband Simon told Access Hollywood, according to RadarOnline: “My world was destroyed yesterday." He discusses what happened that morning. He says: “[Her Mother] Sharon went into the bathroom because she had been in there a long time. Her mom screamed for me and I ran. Then I called 911.” According to Monjack: “She had laryngitis. She had been tired at the end of the year. She had made a couple movies.”
