Lennox recently won the Nobel Woman of Peace Prize on November 11, 2009 for her work in helping woman and children suffering from AIDS in South Africaa. The fight against AIDS is something that is very important to the singer. According to news.puggal.com, "Her campaign “Sing”, a project to raise awareness of the HIV/AIDS played a vital role and especially in South Africa, where the disease is common. To raise awareness of the HIV/AIDS’s devastating effect all over the world, the British musician wore a HIV Positive t-shirt."
