The most recent episode of "Fringe" brought with it a tale very reminiscent of the "X-Files," to which it has been compared since its premiere last year. The show reached out in a new direction (read: skyward) for its most recent "freak of the week," but bringing a lot of viewers back to the roots of its genre.
The ratings for this week's episode, however, showed once again that "Fringe" is floundering in its time slot. "Fringe" fell 23% this week, hitting a low point.
Many have speculated that if "Fringe" continues this trend, it could be seeing its end sooner than later, though Fox has remained silent on the issue thus far.
For many fans, this simply would not do the show justice, as they feel as though Fringe was put in a time slot that competes against too many heavy hitters. The show is strong in what it does, and many are begging the network to move it to another time.

I heard Fringe is in this time slot cause it will get better ratings than anything else they have!
I haven't seen it yet!
