Today, the Chicago Tribune ran a story about a University of Portland Professor who creates math puzzles in his spare time, noting that today, 01-02-2010 is a palindrome.
A palindrome is a sequence of letters or numbers that are the same forward and backwards, such as Radar, 3113, and so on.
There will be 12 days like today in the 21st century, the next one taking place on 11-02-2011.
There isn't anything out there referring to any of these dates having "special meanings" like the 12-21-2012 when the Mayan calendar ends, and some believe the end of the world.

Happy Palindrome Day, People!
