ELVIS PRESLEY OR EDWARD CULLEN?

After recently doing a bio of Elvis Presley, something occurred to me about one of the mysterious reasons this series is so popular. Yes, Stephenie Meyer paid homage to some classically successful literature in her books (Romeo and Juliet, anyone?), and basically comprised a story about an “every-girl” in love with the "ultimate bad boy with a heart of gold," but when it comes to the furor over the film series (and furor is putting it mildly), I’ve noticed something I don’t think anyone else has brought up: The Presley Factor.
My theory is not rock solid, but as pictures often say more than words, check out exhibits A and B below.
Countless film reviewers have referred to Robert Pattinson as having a brooding quality – but with that tousled and slightly greasy mane piled high on his noggin, and his ability to put his chin down and his eyes up, creating a dark-lidded smolder, from certain angles he strongly resembles a young Elvis Presley. (There's a little James Dean in there, too, but let's stick with the subject at hand.) He has certainly mastered the ability to cause screaming pandemonium among teenage girls.
EXHIBIT A - PRESLEY AND PATTINSON
The painfully lovely Kristen Stewart, on the other hand, is a chameleon. Sometimes her look can change so drastically she doesn’t even resemble herself. Other times, she reminds me quite a bit of Elvis’ daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. Both are jaw-droppingly gorgeous, know how to use smoky eye shadow to great effect ... and is it just me or do they both look perpetually stoned? (… You know, in a good way.)
EXHIBIT B - LISA MARIE PRESLEY AND KRISTEN STEWART
What does all this mean? I haven’t a clue. But something else of note is that Elvis’ granddaughter, and Lisa Marie’s daughter, Danielle Riley Keough is making her film debut in The Runaways, alongside Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett. Coincidence? You decide.
I recently stumbled on a YouTube video made by someone who also appreciates Twilight's Presley Factor. While I'm not sold on the idea that Pattinson should play Presley, the video is entertaining nevertheless. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

I can see where he would make a good Elvis... And I love both!!! It's scary how much KStew and LMP are similar....Awesome article!
This is so surreal! They have similar hairdos smoldering eyes right down to the side burns. Also Kristen and Lisa Marie are so so similar in looks. Bizarre............! Like history repeating itself! I just hope Rob doesn't end up like Elvis in the end! Rob and Kristen just hang in there!
Because I've been a HUGE Elvis fan for about 9 years, starting in high school, and because I'm recently a Rob fan, I've thought of this!!! Although I think Elvis is way better looking usually, Rob definitely has his moments--especially in Twilight. Besides the same brooding sort of photos and THE hair, they actually both seem to have very silly humorous personalities injected with intelligence, a lot of humility, and (obviously) talent. Funny how they both seem to have (had) this bad boy image when I don't think either of them really are (were) that bad at all. Rob sure seems like he's getting the attention that Elvis had gotten. I've actually put together a huge collage of photos of Elvis and Rob together--ones that look similar next to each other. I've also noticed that Kristin looks a bit like Lisa Marie, especially their hairlines.
I would like to see Robert and Kristen play my idols. Yeah!
Oh, this is the best thing that could ever happen if Robert plays Elvis and Kristen plays Priscilla. Can a production house have this in line? I ll be the firts to buy the tickets.
My mum would be dying to see the movie. My granny too ! Ofcourse I will hop along , its after all my favourite to start on earth ,Kristen and Robert. It must be played by Kristen and Robert. Great chemistry.
Good, can omeone make this happen? The epic love story of Elvis and Priscilla played by Robert and Kristen.It would EXPLODE!
I hope this film happens as long as it tells the truth and also shows the side of Elvis which was so generous and caring. He was a beautiful person but some people just want to show the latter years when he overdid the PRESCRIPTION drugs. As I said, would be great but the TRUTH please.
i think he would be great playing elvis preseley . he does have the look and that brudng quality about him. let him have a shot at doing it. i think thy should let him play jaes dean also.ive seen a coule of his ovies besides twilight and he is quiet good at acting in the movies. good luck rob.
Please please please create an opportunity out of this. If this doesn't ring $$$ signs for some budding movie maker out there I don't know what will.
