Adult Swim lets fans create personal DVD masterpiece

Starting today, Adult Swim will grant fans the freedom to create their own perfect television watching experience by allowing them to mix and match their favorite episodes for a personalized DVD.

Adult Swim, the late-night side of Cartoon Network, popular among the teenage crowd, will open its library of animated shows to the public, letting them choose 110 minutes worth of TV episodes.  Initially the selection will be limited to around 100 episodes, featuring shows such as "Robot Chicken" and "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," but that number is expected to expand to 1000 by the end of the year, just in time for the holidays.

The $20 price tag attached to the DVD also gives customers artistic license over its presentation.  They will be able to not only design the artwork for both the case and the disc, but also write the title and compose the menu.

"We want to give the best experience we can to the Adult Swim fan," said senior VP of Cartoon Network Enterprises, Christina Miller.  "They want ultra empowerment to create their own product."
