The slime is going away and for the first time in a long time (25 years) children's television network Nickelodeon is rebranding.
The new logo nixes the infamous splat and goes for a cleaner, more simple and stark clean look with a modern font.
The new logo is apparently an opportunity to created a unified branding front among its four networks. Yes, Nickelodeon has four networks.
idsgn blog has a fascinating retrospective of all of the logos Nickelodeon has had over the years. Perhaps this is unAmerican of us, but we don't think we'll miss the splat. The new logo is modern and sleek and it is about time.
