The last movie in the franchise "Men In Black" came out way back in 2002 but that isn't stopping the development of a third installment.
The now-trilogy of sci-fi comedies is being honed for a 2010 filming date and the script is being written by Etan Cohen. Cohen's other writing credits include "Tropic Thunder."
The Hollywood Reporter says that director Barry Sonnenfeld is expected to helm his third "MIB" installment. In fact, all the old gang seems to be coming back except for Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. (If you ask us, Jones and Smith are what make the movies so good, but we digress...)
For Sony Pictures it's a smart bet to start working this franchise again. The first two "MIB" flicks amassed a billion-dollar take worldwide.
Are you excited about "MIB 3"? Would it work without its stars?
