Teen film star Dakota Fanning has confirmed that she is considering the role of Jane in the Twilight sequel "New Moon."
While the 14-year-old seasoned vet is making the rounds promoting her current film "Push" the vampire role has come up in conversation.
Of playing Jane, Fanning seems to be more than open to the opportunity as she told HitFix.com:
It's definitely possible. I really hope it works out," Fanning says. "It would be a really fantastic experience I'm sure."
As we told you last week, Jane is the pint-sized but vicious leader of Italian vampires in Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon." Director Chris Weitz is said to be to so certain that Fanning is the perfect Jane that she didn't even have to audition.
If you agree, you can join an online petition to get Fanning in the movie. But, we don't think it's necessary. It looks like this one is a done deal, as long as all the muckety mucks can make it happen.

I think she will be really good at playing Jane. I seen her movies; really good. Even the scary ones, "Hide and seek." Jane is a perfect role for her.
not crazy about this idea.. but i think i'm going to lose the battle. i think she just wants to get her hands on rob pattinson. but, who can blame her... i'm doing anything i can to be any character in the movie so i can get my hands all over him

I think it's a great idea because I think she should push herself in the "older" drma department. Not that she hasn't done a great job on her other films, because she has. But as she gets older, I think that she should push herself into more grown up drma parts. I think she would be Amazing!!! I look forward to seeing her as Jane.
i dont think dakota should play in this movie. if someone thts beenn in alot of movies playin in twilight it would seem so normal idk ho to explain it i think u should find some one new.
so I doo'tthink Fanning would be great for this part. My reason, 'Jane' is supposed to have light brown hair and be like 10 so Fnning would have to rid of her goregus blonde hair andd be much younger looking. Now to everyone who doesn't agree and says that she would be great that is your opinion and this is mine. Again, I'm just posting.
