A week ago, the locals of Sea Isle were in a tizzy over rumors that the young, ready-to-party cast of MTV's
"Jersey Shore" would be invading their town for a new season. The rumor was eventually squelched when an MTV representative made a statement saying that a second season had not even been officially announced, but on Friday the network revealed that there will definitely be a second season of "Jersey Shore". The announcement came days after there were reports that the cast was demanding more money which was preventing a deal from being met.
This summer twelve new episodes will follow the eight roommates, but there's a catch - they won't be in the New Jersey area. Apparently, the wild adventures of Snooki, Ronnie, JWow, DJ Pauly and company will be somewhere other than the northeast. MTV has hinted that the location is somewhere warmer than New Jersey. In other "Jersey Shore" news, last week two of the castmembers hosted a successful party here in Philadelphia at McFaddens, but apparently a nightclub in Montclair, NJ couldn't handle the crowd and was shut down because the cast drew more people to 501 Lounge than the small spot could handle.
